Children's Hospital of Orange County Hospital Tour*
Attendees must pre-register for the hospital tour. Onsite hospital tour registrations will not be accepted. 

Hospital Tour attendees have the option to embark on a specific tour within the Children's Hospital of Orange County. Each tour will bring attendees to specific areas within the hospital to allow attendees to see facilities that are specific to their specialty. If you are registered to attend the hospital tour but have not selected a specific tour group, please reach out to info@pedsnurses.org.These tour options include: 

  • Group A: Critical Care: Enjoy an interactive experience in the new MRI suite with the Phillips Ambient Experience and Kitten Scanner, see the amazing, state-of-the-art CVICU, just opened in February, and visit one of the busiest emergency departments in the country.
  • Group B: Oncology, Multispecialty Unit and Virtual Nursing: Visit CHOC’s Hyundai Cancer Center Oncology Unit and learn from nurses who provide advanced therapies for children with cancer and blood disorders, visit the Multispecialty Unit, where virtual care has been live since September.  Visit the virtual nurse office and speak with a virtual nurse to learn what it takes to provide this type of innovative care!
  • Group C: Ambulatory Care: Get a sneak peek inside CHOC’s newest outpatient clinic, not yet open to the public, by visiting the new 9-story Southwest Tower where you will witness contemporary design features!  Visit the new, Pediatric Urgent Care Center and hear how this service helped reduce unnecessary ED visits.

  • Group D: Mental Health Inpatient Unit and Command Center: Come experience the only pediatric inpatient mental health unit in the county, built especially for children ages 3-18. Tour the neighborhoods and the outdoor play space.  Visit the new Command Center where patient placement and throughput are key focus areas.

Tours will begin and end on the 2nd floor of CHOC’s Bill Holmes Tower where participants can experience the Dear Hospital interactive pop-up, an innovative storytelling initiative, see the newly remodeled Teen Lounge, visit the Ryan Seacrest radio station, and tour the Family Resource Center.  Enjoy refreshments at the post-tour reception before returning to the Disneyland Resort.

*Pre-registration and an additional fee of $15 is required. Please register with your existing SPN account.

Pediatric Nursing Certification Board's (PNCB) 50th Anniversary Party

You're Invited! Celebrate the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board's 50th Anniversary in the Center Ballroom at 5:00 p.m. on May 1st. Come celebrate with us as we honor our rich history, recognize the impact of pediatric nurses, and look forward to the future of the profession. Please RSVP for the waitlist.
