As a pediatric nurse, you make an impact in the lives of your colleagues and the children and families you serve every day. SPN offers many ways you can get involved and shape the future of pediatric nursing. Take a moment to browse the volunteer opportunities available to you!
How to Get Involved
Present a Webinar
We are now accepting abstract submissions for upcoming SPN webinars, with presentation opportunities beginning in November 2026. Applications for this new program may only be submitted by active SPN members and will close on May 15.
Join or Start an SPN Chapter
Local chapters are a great way to connect with those near you. Chapters serve as advocates at the state level and share common practices to advance the quality of care for children and their families. If you are interested in starting a new chapter, please reach out to [email protected].
Volunteer for a Committee
Ever year SPN opens a call for interest to serve on our committees in January. Committee appointments are made in March and start in April. Learn more about our committees.
Contribute Content
You are an expert in your practice and pediatric nurses around the country can benefit from your expertise. Consider writing an article for SPN Member Digest, SPN Department pages in the Journal of Pediatric Nursing, being a presenter for a webinar or a speaker for a podcast. We would love to hear from you!
Serve on the SPN Board of Directors
Considering bringing your volunteerism to the next level? Then running for an elected Board position may be right for you. Board members serve 3 year terms and are elected every fall by the membership. SPN encourages you to reach out to our Nominating Committee to learn more!
