Pediatric Sepsis: A Medical Emergency

Join this webinar to learn more about pediatric sepsis and why it remains a life-threatening medical emergency. Early recognition is critical, as children often compensate until they suddenly deteriorate. Participants will learn how to identify subtle early warning signs, including age-specific vital sign changes and behavioral cues that may signal the onset of sepsis. This session will highlight evidence-based early treatment strategies, including rapid weight-based fluid resuscitation, timely antibiotic administration, and the use of protocol-driven sepsis bundles, to improve outcomes. The presenter will share her clinical expertise and real-world emergency department experience to strengthen early recognition, promote team communication, and improve pediatric sepsis outcomes through rapid, coordinated care.

Outcome: Outcome 85% of participants will report increased knowledge on post-session evaluation about pediatric sepsis, early recognition, and treatment
