2025 also marks SPN’s 35th year – an incredible milestone for our organization and a testament to the ongoing need that our members see for a professional organization that advocates for the unique role of the pediatric nurse. It is also a testament to the powerful leadership of our presidents and board members over the years, all of whom have been fierce advocates for pediatric nursing and for the important role that SPN plays in shaping the practice and community of pediatric nurses. This year’s annual conference will provide an opportunity to celebrate all that SPN has accomplished since its founding in 1990, but we’re excited to recognize this important milestone all year long! To that end, several of our past presidents will be sharing their reflections on SPN’s contributions to the field of pediatric nursing each month throughout the year. I look forward to hearing their thoughts on all that we’ve accomplished as an organization and as a community of professionals – and on where we should be headed as we think about SPN’s next 35 years!
The coming year is sure to be an exciting one, and our 35th anniversary celebrations give us an opportunity to highlight all the ways that SPN is working to ensure you have the resources and professional connections necessary to provide the best possible care to your pediatric patients and families. I’m so proud to be a part of this community of pediatric nurses, and I’m looking forward to connecting with and learning from many of you in the year to come. Here’s to a year of learning, growth, and continued excellence in pediatric nursing!
